The project was discussed in 76th UTTIPEC Working Group meeting under the chairmanship of Pr. Secretary, PWD held on 18.12.2019. The background & proposal, observations and recommendations of the Working Group –IIB meeting are as follows:

    Background & Proposal:

NCRTC has planned to accommodate the RRTS Stabling lines, OCC, Service buildings, and essential staff quarters along with other required installations of RRTS on the land measuring 12 Ha at Jangpura. This land is bounded by three railway tracks forming a triangle and has a very poor connectivity with nearby roads. The nearest metro station to this site is Jangpura and Vinobhapuri which is at a distance of more than 1.5 km.

A preliminary discussion was held under Commissioner (Plg.) on 15.10.2019 in which NCRTC has presented their proposal which mainly comprises the types of development and accessibility options to the site.

The proposal was discussed in the Core Group Meeting on 22.11.2019 in which NCRTC presented the proposal. NCRTC was requested to submit the proposal to UTTIPEC in UTTIPEC submission format along with necessary clearances from Railways, PWD and Traffic police for placing the proposal before Working Group –II B. Accordingly NCRTC presented revised proposal taking into account the above observations of Core Group meeting in the Working Group –II B meeting.

    Observations:

The representative from the Northern Railway informed that the proposed loop passing through the railway land connecting the NCRTC site is under consideration of the Railway HQ for their NOC.

The representative of PWD informed that NCRTC has been given NOC for taking entry and exit from ROB on Mathura Road side with considering sufficient margin for future widening of the ROB as proposed by PWD.

    Recommendation

The proposal may be uploaded on UTTIPEC website for seeking Community Feedback for a period of 30 days.
